Paul grew up hunting the mountains and valleys of the Eastern Cape on land his family has called home for generations. A former professional rugby player, he returned to the family business and today leads Tollie’s African Safaris while remaining actively involved with clients in the field. Paul has an intimate knowledge of the country, its wildlife and what separates a good trophy from an exceptional one. His approach reflects the philosophy behind Tollie’s: never rush the hunt and never compromise on quality. For Paul, guiding is about far more than taking an animal—it is about giving every client an African experience they will want to return to.

Pieter is the middle of the three Jordaan brothers and has spent his life hunting and working across the rugged country of the Eastern Cape. Growing up on the family land gave him an instinctive understanding of the animals, terrain and conditions that can only come from years in the field. Calm, patient and highly experienced, Pieter takes pride in reading the country, taking his time and finding the right animal rather than simply the first opportunity. His easygoing personality and dedication to his clients make him as much a part of the memories around the fire as the hunt itself. For Pieter, every safari should feel personal, challenging and unmistakably African.

Willem is the youngest of the three Jordaan brothers and, like his brothers, grew up with hunting and the outdoors as part of everyday life. His years spent exploring the mountains, valleys and bushveld of the Eastern Cape have given him a deep understanding of the country and the wildlife that lives within it. Willem brings energy, determination and patience to every safari, with a particular appreciation for challenging hunts that require time and effort. He believes the best trophies are earned, not rushed. Friendly and competitive by nature, Willem builds genuine friendships with his clients and takes pride in giving them a safari they will remember long after leaving Africa.

Paul is a cousin to the Jordaan brothers and has been part of the Tollie’s family business for 18 years, guiding clients across the Eastern Cape throughout that time. His years in the field have given him extensive experience hunting a wide variety of African game and a deep understanding of the country Tollie’s calls home. But what clients often remember most about Cuzzie is the energy he brings to a safari. Always ready with a story, a joke or a laugh around the fire, he has a natural ability to make people feel at home. Cuzzie combines serious hunting experience with the fun and friendship that make a Tollie’s safari about far more than the hunt.

Pieter grew up with a love for sport and the outdoors and initially set his sights on a career as a professional golfer. After pursuing the game competitively, he ultimately decided that life outdoors—and the hunting country of the Eastern Cape—was where he wanted to be. As a cousin to the Jordaan brothers, Pieter has recently joined the Tollie’s team and brings a new generation of energy and enthusiasm to camp. His sporting background has shaped his patience, focus and competitive nature, qualities that translate naturally into hunting. Pieter is quickly making his mark at Tollie’s and enjoys sharing the adventure, camaraderie and wild places that make an African safari so special.
